plan 9 uses the rio window manager

rio starts up as a grey screen
right-click then select new and holding the right-mouse button drag the
box to the desired size

blue rectangles can resize and move windows

ctrl-alt-delete
           reboot the system

ctrl-c     use ctrl-c to go to the end of the current command

ctrl-f     command completion (like the tab key for linux)
