Dec 21st 2010 got coreboot working on Gigabyte GA-6BXC maximum memory 768 megs doesn't like labtec keyboard for some reason using i3DVR keyboard instead booted successfully with Ultimate Boot CD booted sucesssfully with FreeDOS booted sucesssfully with Tom's Root Boot (had trouble with PCI network card) booted sucesssfully with DSL and networking worked (used dsl 2 at boot) booted sucesssfully with Debian Lenny hard power off then on will boot up otherwise hitting the reset button seems necessary add bootsplash jpg ------------------ cbfstool coreboot.rom add $HOME/Downloads/coreboot/build/bootsplash.jpg bootsplash.jpg raw cbfstool coreboot.rom print /usr/local/sbin/nvramtool -a ISA cards --------- works with US Robotics 56K Modem will NOT work with Jazz16 sound card Note that Gigabyte GA-6BXC does NOT have a cmos.layout file for serial monitoring --------------------- on Tyan use serial port closest to PS/2 connector which is ttyS0 or serial port 1 on GA-6BXC use serial port farthest away from PS/2 connector Perhaps use Tyan S2881 instead? http://www.coreboot.org/Tyan_S2881
